Dear Twality Families,
As part of our practice and in our commitment to keeping you all informed, I am writing to let you know that the middle school was evacuated this afternoon due to a strong smell of burning plastic.
The fire alarms were activated and students and staff exited the building safely. The fire department cleared the building for students to return to classes. The Operations Department determined that a bearing went out in an HVAC unit and are in the process of repairing the unit.
The building might be a little cooler in that area of the school tomorrow.
As always, the safety of our students is our primary concern. Please know, we have procedures and policies in place to maintain a safe learning environment for all. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.
